Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC Nnewi) is a faith-based non-governmental organization of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi registered as CAC/IT/NO 63815 in Nigeria by the Corporate Affaitrs Commission, (CAC). JDPC Nnewi is committed to fostering social justice, sustainable development, good governance and peace building together with Charity to the less previleged in Nigeria and are committed to empowering marginalized communities and leading all to God.
Working across all 122 Parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, and the 182 communities in Anambra state, our work is majored around research and advocacy, capacity building, awareness creation, and inclusive development and we envision a society where every individual enjoys equal opportunities, dignity, and the right to participate in decision-making processes. Our core values of integrity, solidarity, inclusiveness, transparency, accountability, and compassion drive every initiative we undertake.

JDPC Nnewi operates across several thematic areas, including education, healthcare, economic empowerment, human rights advocacy, and community development. We are passionate about creating an environment that upholds social justice and facilitates transformative change through evidence-based and community-driven interventions.
In our commitment to making a measurable impact, we have forged strategic partnerships with prominent organizations. Our collaboration with Enough is Enough (EIE Nigeria) has centered on the #MyLGA Project, which advocates for a strengthened local government system to ensure responsiveness, transparency, and efficiency in addressing community needs. Working with the International Budget Partnership (IBP), we have implemented projects aimed at enhancing public financial management and accountability in the health sector, ensuring that resources are optimally directed to improve service delivery. Additionally, our joint project in partnership with Caritas Nigeria focuses on community empowerment for inclusive healthcare, targeting sustainable improvements in service delivery for vulnerable populations.
Through these partnerships, JDPC Nnewi has not only expanded its reach and expertise but also reinforced its commitment to collaborative, data-driven, and people-centered development. We continuously engage withcommunity leaders, local government agencies, state and federal government actors, Non state actors, Religious bodies, Professional groups, and international partners to co-create innovative solutions that respond to the unique challenges faced by our communities.
