Connecting Villages for Sustainable Development Initiative (Connecting Villages Initiative), started as a whatsapp platform profiling opportunities for young people especially young people within rural communities who constitute over 60 percent of the group members. The organisation though has been in existence since 2021 was officially registered on the 20th day of May, 2024 with the registration number CAC/IT/7530353 as a non-governmental organisation that seeks to empower citizen within rural and underserved communities with skills, platforms and knowledge to lead the delivery of sustainable development within their communities.
The organisation has four program areas which are;

Our core competencies are community mobilization and organising, Policy Advocacy, Campaigns and Capacity Strengthening.
In the last three years, Connecting Villages Initiative has implemented several projects that empowered community people especially young people with information, skills and suitable platforms which has resulted in them taking led on demanding a transparent and accountable representation from public office holders, a fair and inclusive governance and electoral systems and are currently training children in some selected schools in Nasarawa state on climate change through a climate mitigation and adaptation club.
